Bio
Rosie Wild (Wild Card) is a multidisciplinary artist working in upcycled collage, clothing & handbuilt ceramics. Primarily exploring a world of second hand books and print material, her collages explore themes of feminine mysticism, surreality and ephemera of the past.
She is currently based in Aotearoa, where she is from, having grown up in the Netherlands and the UK.

Sustainability
Wild Card is focused on creating work sustainably wherever possible working to the concept of 'nothing new'.
Collages, upcycled clothing and mix media work all incorporate 2nd hand and found materials from op shop finds to rubbish collected on beaches and sides of the road.
Ceramics is an arguably less sustainable practice that I focus on maximising sustainability through reclaiming clay, underglaze/glaze materials, firing in group or community firings to ensure a full kiln and prioritise resourceful or second hand packaging materials wherever possible.
